About the Piano Performers Program

30 Lessons from August - May Located at one of our home studios in Spanish Fort, Daphne or Fairhope. Perfect for Opera and Vocal Performance, Drum Students for side by side demonstration + instruction, and students looking to experience playing on an acoustic piano vs. keyboard at home. Limits distractions.for students by enjoying the lesson in a devoted, quiet practice room environment. Students feel like professionals being able to have their very own special lesson, outside of home. It's a special event and activity. Parents & siblings are welcome to sit outside in a waiting area, drop-off and pick-up, or participate in the fun and all of the action, if that's what is best for the family. Parents can communicate what's best for the student, prior to the first lesson, so we have set expectations and zero let-down's. Some students do experience nerves & performance anxiety. Some students have special needs, and parent involvement is necessary for success. We will work together on this! Students will warm up to the idea of performing in no time, with teacher and parent encouragement. Studio lessons are a great way to prep for performances! Many of our recitals are held at these very locations. - Spanish Fort Presbyterian - Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (Daphne) - Resurrection Church (Daphne - Christopher & Savannah's students only!) - NEW Fairhope Studio - Announcement Coming SOON! Opportunity to Participate in Christmas Recitals and End of the School Year Recitals

Upcoming Classes - Classes begin - august 18, 2025

Piano Performers Policy

Commitment - Enrollment in Musical Beginnings is a school year commitment for the family & teacher. Your scheduled lesson time is reserved just for you. Our instructors stay fully booked. We cannot fill your spot in your absence, so regular attendance is expected. Missed lessons due to sports, vacations, or extracurriculars will not be rescheduled or refunded. Tuition is non-refundable and honors your commitment for the entire school year. Students are not considered fully registered until tuition is paid. Payments & Late Fees - NSF Checks: A $30 fee will be charged for checks with insufficient funds. - Refund Policy: No refunds after the first two lessons. Exceptions may be made only for extended illness (with a doctor’s note) or relocation (20+ miles away, with proof). Attendance & Make-Up Lessons - Students are charged for all scheduled lessons. No extra lessons allowed due to extracurriculars, vacations, or school field trips. We accommodate two make-up lessons per year for illness or family emergencies. These may be held at a different time or location. Most take place during our "designated make-up days" at the very end of the year. Illness Policy -If your child is sick, please cancel directly with the instructor immediately. Do not send students with contagious conditions (e.g., pink eye, nausea). It is wise to cancel if sick. One contagious student will impact 25+ kids and 5+ schools. Sending kids to lessons sick creates a vicious cycle of long-term absence for the instructor. Visibly ill students may be sent back home. Inclement Weather - We follow public school closures for inclement weather. We will make up one weather- related closure per year. Additional make-ups will depend on teacher and space availability. Some teachers commute. We always opt for safety first. Punctuality & Tardiness - Be on time. Lessons cannot be extended for late arrivals. If a student forgets their books or arrives late, the lesson may be shortened. No late pick-up. Running 10 minutes behind for just 5 students pushes everyone's "bed-time" back by an hour. Please be considerate of the kids who have booked 7 PM and 8 PM spots. Your tardiness impacts our entire music family. Withdrawals - Withdrawals may only be approved (with a prorated refund) in the event of: - Prolonged illness (doctor’s note required) - Relocation of 20+ miles (proof of move required) Dismissal Policy Musical Beginnings reserves the right to dismiss a student for bad behavior, This is rare.
