Piano Performers - Group Piano Lessons
In Partnership with the Baldwin County Public School System
About the Piano Performers Program
Affordable, low cost group piano lessons, located directly on campus, immediately after the school bell rings. Perfect for elementary aged students eager to test out the piano, and experience what lessons are like, before taking the full leap into the investment of studio lessons or private in-home one-on-one instruction. Students will participate in group piano lessons, fun music theory games and activities, plus bonus opportunities to perform in class, alongside their older peers and fellow classmates. Students will learn music theory, music notations & rhythms, how to write and speak the language of music, plus performance etiquette. Our groups are limited to 4 students per instructor, so that we are able to provide the best instruction possible. Musical Beginnings provides a state of the art piano lab with the latest music studio technology. Everything you need is included with the investment, although a small keyboard to practice on at home is an extra, highly-recommended necessity. Parents can easily follow along at home with the exact same lessons their children are currently studying in piano class. Our directors have recently upgraded our technology that we have loved and trusted for well over a decade. We've created a VIP Parent Portal, to include online access to all lesson plans, music videos, and custom created content. This ensures student success, by bridging the gap between piano class, and at-home practice sessions. Parents will be provided password protected access after registration. Parents can easily follow along at home. These lessons are made possible year by year because of ongoing support, and a long-standing successful partnership with Baldwin County's extended day-care program. Parents can enjoy the convenience of piano lessons taking place directly on campus immediately after school. Our group piano classes enable us to provide affordable musical experiences for the entire Baldwin County community. Piano Performers is the heart of our company, Musical Beginnings, and we've been lucky to provide piano lessons to thousands of students, over the last decade. We currently have partnerships with 9 local elementary schools, listed above and below, and we are excited to expand and broaden our horizons into Mobile County in 2025-2026. Please spread the word to your friends and family located across the bay!

Piano Performers Policy
Commitment - Enrolling in Musical Beginnings is a full-year commitment for the student, parent, and teacher. Your scheduled lesson time is reserved just for you. Most of our instructors stay fully booked, as this is their career. Tuition is non-refundable mid-year, and honors your commitment for the entire school year. Daily Practice at Home - Students must practice their music daily at home. A piano or keyboard is required to ensure success in music studies. Registration -Students are not considered fully registered until tuition is paid. Payments & Fees - - NSF Checks: A $30 fee will be charged for checks with insufficient funds. - Refund Policy: No refunds after the first two lessons. Registration is for the full school year. Exceptions may be made only for extended illness (with a doctor’s note) or relocation (20+ miles away, with proof). Pick-Up / Drop-Off at Schools - If a lesson is directly on campus after school or from Extended Day, no drop-off is needed. If late for pick-up, students may be taken to Extended Day Care. If your child is not enrolled, a $3 fee per 10 minutes will be charged, payable at pick-up. 10 minutes of tardiness for every 6 students pushes a teacher's schedule back by a full hour. Attendance & Make-Up Lessons - Regular attendance is expected. Students are charged for all scheduled lessons. No extra lessons allowed due to extracurriculars, vacations, or school field trips. We offer 2 make-up lessons per year for illness or family emergencies. These may be held at a different time or location. Please email the office to request a make-up. We allow two-three weeks at the very end of the semester as "designated make-up days." Illness Policy - If your child is sick, please notify us immediately. Do not send students with contagious conditions or they may be sent back home. If a student has an extenuating health condition resulting in many absences, our instructors will handle each unique situation delicately, with what is best for the student's success. Weather Closures - We follow public school closures + news channel for inclement weather. We will make up one weather-related closure per year. Withdrawals - Withdrawals are only approved (with a pro-rated refund) in the event of: - Prolonged illness (doctor’s note required) or Relocation +25 miles (with proof) Dismissal Policy Musical Beginnings reserves the right to dismiss a student for bad behavior. This is very rare and any remaining tuition will be refunded.
