About the Piano Performers Program
Please contact us directly to set-up in home lessons with the instructor of your choice. Please include: - Student Name - Preferred Instructor - Preferred Day & Time - You can go see what's available on the booking calendar. Go to studio lessons for your time duration (30, 45 or 1 HR) and search by instructor name. This will tell you what days and time they are working. Please do not request a time that is NOT available. -Home Address - This will help us organize their travel route and map things out to make everything run smoothly and efficiently. MusicalBeginningsBC@gmail.com With this deluxe upgrade, you can have your lessons in the comfort of your own home! Being a parent can be incredibly hectic. This upgrade allows your child to receive strong in-person musical instruction with the convenience of not having to leave your home. (Please note the following: your home must have a piano/guitar/bass/drumkit/etc. for us to conduct our lessons properly. Furthermore, if you have cats or dogs, you must notify us prior to payment due to instructor allergies.)
Piano Performers Policy
Parents Present - Parents must be present at home AT ALL TIMES. If an emergency or errand needs to be ran, and a parent asks to "leave for a few minutes", then the music lesson will be cut short. If a teacher arrives to a home with no parent present, the lesson will not take place. It will not be refunded or rescheduled. Lesson Start Time - Please have your student present and ready to start at the scheduled start time. We should not be tracking down where the kids are or locating equipment during the first 10 minutes of lessons. Our instructor's schedules are tightly time-blocked to serve as many students as possible before "bed-time". Running 10 minutes late for 5 students quickly adds up. This pushes another student's bed-time back by an entire hour. Please be considerate of the 7 PM and 8 PM students. Student should be promptly set-up with their instrument, ready to start. Lesson time begins upon teacher's arrival and set-up. When the teacher is ready to go, lessons officially begin. Forgotten Lessons - If a teacher arrives at your home, and you have not notified them that you are away, or if the student is not present, the lesson will not be refunded or rescheduled. Illness - Please notify us immediately of any absences because of illness. If a teacher arrives to the home, and everyone is visibly ill, the teacher reserves the right to leave. Once our teachers get sick, it creates a vicious cycle that impacts everyone. One contagious student affects an entire week's worth of students. One contagious student can create make-up lessons for 25+ students, plus 5+ schools. We assure you that it is wise to take off - rather than get your instructor ill. Distraction Free Environment - Please limit distractions. Pets - All pets need to be kenneled or put away prior to lessons, unless your instructor has shared that they are an animal lover. Each instructor's comfort levels vary. Ms. Savannah is an absolute animal lover, working previously as a surgical veterinary assistant, while Mr. Christopher is severely allergic. Expectations will be discussed prior to lessons. Please be mindful that our instructors travel with very expensive instruments, and equipment. You will be held liable for repairs, if your pet damages anything, due to jumping up on instructors. Some of our instructors have severe cat allergies, so another traveling teacher may be recommended, if there is any conflict, due to pet allergies.
